My name is Kelly “Kell” Harker, and I’m a life-long (27 years to date) fan of science fiction, horror and fantasy in all its formats. I have a Bachelor degree in English, and I’ve done post-degree studies in Social Work.
Currently I manage a cafe, but I’d love to be able to travel and write, and get paid for it. I live in Ontario, Canada, but my heart belongs to London, England.
As well as being a geek by interest, I also regularly blog for SFX – the world’s biggest genre magazine.
In addition to my blogging for SFX I thought it about time I started my own review site, and with the forthcoming launch of a new genre imprint, this seemed like the ideal time.
I will be reviewing books published by Angry Robot (there’s a link to them over in the right hand column). A global imprint, they’re launching in Canada in Spring 2010, though they have already launched in the UK, which gives me plenty of time to read and catch up before they come over here!
I’m not affiliated to Angry Robot, and I’ll be publishing my honest opinions of their books – I just think it’s a cool idea to jump onboard at the start of a new imprint, and specialise. Yeah, like I said – I’m a geek! Pleasure to meet you.
